What is a lawn greeting?
A lawn greeting, also known as a “yard card”, consists of a group of personalized rental signs displayed in a yard to celebrate a special event, such as the arrival of a new baby, birthday, graduation, welcome home, etc.
What is included in a yard sign package?
Rentals include a display of personalized signs in the yard and a card left at the recipient’s door. Sign displays include a custom message of up to 17 letters and additional letters will incur a fee. Baby carriage sign rentals (Charlotte location) include a personalized keepsake plaque.
When do you deliver and pick up?
All occasion displays are set up prior to 6:00 am to surprise the recipient at the beginning of their special day. Signs are picked up after 8:00 pm the same day. Baby carriage rentals remain in the yard for 5 days (Charlotte location).
Where do you deliver?
Charlotte area: We deliver to neighborhoods within Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas of NC and SC including Fort Mill, Rock Hill, and Indian Land, SC. No delivery fee within 15 miles of 28277 zip code. Delivery outside of 15 miles will incur a delivery fee.
Greensboro area: We deliver to areas within 15 miles of 27403 zip code at no additional charge. Please call our office or email greensboro@happysignsurprise.com to discuss delivery outside of this area. Delivery outside of 15 mile radius will incur a delivery fee.
We reserve the right to cancel a delivery if we feel that it would be a danger to us or our displays, and we will contact you if this situation arises.
Are reservations required?
It is highly recommended to make an advance reservation to ensure availability. We reserve displays on a first come first served basis.
For birth announcement displays, please call us as soon as possible after the birth to see if a sign is available.
When do I pay?
Payment is required at the time of reservation. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and payments through Paypal or Venmo.
Do you deliver in bad weather?
Yard signs are waterproof, however, if there are severe weather warnings posted, we will not deliver. If conditions do not allow delivery, we will contact the customer to make alternative arrangements.
Can I move the yard sign?
Please do not attempt to move the signs. We will gladly come and move the signs for you (delivery fee may apply). We also ask that you do not play on or around the display. Although the signs look fun, they are not toys. The signposts are made of sharp metal and for your safety, please do not touch them. If signs are damaged or lost, replacement fees will be charged to the sender.
Am I or the recipient allowed to keep any part of the display?
Only the baby carriage displays include a keepsake plaque. All signs are rentals only. Lost, missing, or damaged signs will incur a replacement fee and will be charged to the sender.
Will the sign display damage my lawn?
Signs are put into the ground with metal stakes. We carefully install and remove the signs, leaving the yard in proper condition.
Can I mow and water my lawn?
Watering is fine, however, please do not try to mow or trim grass around the display. Even grass clippings damage the print on the signs! Damaged signs will incur a replacement fee and will be charged to the sender.
Do you carry stork signs?
We currently do not rent stork signs for a baby’s birth, however our baby carriages (Charlotte area) and baby announcement displays (Greensboro area) are a nice alternative to the storks.
